An Alliance man has been sent to prison for threatening to shoot three teenagers and for tampering with evidence.

20 year old Trini Trejo was sentenced in Box Butte County District Court Thursday.

On December 26th, Trejo pointed a pellet gun at the teens and threatened to fire the weapon.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The teens were sitting in a parked vehicle outside the Alliance Theater.

Judge Brian Silverman sentenced Trejo to 20 to 36 months in prison for committing the crime.

Trejo will serve that term concurrently with two other sentences of the same length in separate cases of tampering with evidence.

Trejo was given credit for 71 days served in the Box Butte County Jail. He will be eligible for parole in 10 months.

Trejo had previously served four months in prison in 2004 after being convicted of first degree assault in Lancaster County.

Also in District Court Thursday, 31 year old Telly Standing Bear of Sturgis, South Dakota was sentenced to three to four years in prison for burglarizing an Alliance home December 30.

Standing Bear stole stereo equipment from a home in Trailerville Court.

He was given credit for 62 days served in the Box Butte County Jail and will be eligible for parole in 18 months.
