Alliance Police say autopsies have confirmed that the victims in an apparent weekend murder-suicide died of single gunshot wounds.
The bodies of 57-year old Michael Keane and his 49-year old wife Vicki Keane were discovered about 9:00 Saturday morning by police responding to a request for a welfare check made by a family member.
Her body was lying on the living room floor while his was in a recliner in the same room...with a gun recovered nearby. The autopsies were conducted Monday at Regional West Medical Center.
The Nebraska State Patrol helped process the crime scene and is continuing to work with the Alliance police and Box Butte County Sheriff's office on the case.
