Three Wyoming National Guardsmen are making music in their free time while deployed to Iraq.
Dustin Scott, Nathan Harvey and Jeremiah Eaton formed the Joe Speed Band and have posted a music video of their song "Cowboy Soldier" on a new website aimed at the troops overseas.
GI Jams dot com allows soldiers to upload songs, and lets listeners download them. "Cowboy Soldiers"...which is about longing for small comforts while serving in the hot desert...was an instant hit on the fledgling site.
Scott and Harvey...who both grew up in Laramie...and Eaton...a native of Casper.say they have many more songs in the works, and can't wait to return to the U.S. to record with better equipment.
