CHADRON – The Chadron State College wrestling team will compete in two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference duals in the next three days.

Live Scoring (CSC vs. N.M. Highlands)

The Eagles, who are 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the RMAC, will host New Mexico Highlands tonight at the Nelson Physical Activity Center before traveling to face No. 5-ranked Nebraska-Kearney Saturday.

The Cowboys (2-6, 0-3 RMAC) have not benefitted from a tough dual schedule. They lost to Division I foe Air Force 44-0 and followed with a 41-3 loss against UNK. Despite the tough competition, five Highlands’ wrestlers do have at least .500 records, led by Easton Hargrave’s 12-7 mark at 174 pounds.

Five UNK (7-3, 3-0 RMAC) wrestlers are ranked and four of them are in the top two of their respective weight classes.

Although Chadron State doesn’t feature any ranked wrestlers, the Eagles have received votes in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association poll. Five wrestlers have winning records. Freshman Leandro Arias currently leads the team with a 14-9 record, including five pins.
