The Chadron State College softball team is taking advantage of spring break and opening its RMAC season with doubleheaders today and tomorrow in Silver City, New Mexico, against Western New Mexico.

The Eagles will also play a pair of doubleheaders Friday and Saturday in Durango, Colorado, against Fort Lewis College.

The Eagles will play at home for the first time the following weekend, hosting RMAC doubleheaders with Mesa State on Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st.

The Eagles were off last week after having split 4 non-conference games over two days in Pueblo, Colorado, against RMAC foes CSU-Pueblo and Nebraska-Kearney to put their record at 3-6.

The team's leading hitter is Katie Bolin, a junior from Kearney, at .375. Senior Stephanie Hillman from Rapid City is next at .333. Bolin and Hillman have 5 of the team’s 6 home runs and 15 of the 26 rbi's..
