GERING, Neb. (AP) - A Denver man is standing trial this week in the death of a passenger killed when his vehicle crashed into a canal last September. Twenty-two-year-old Turner Clay pleaded not guilty in October to felony motor vehicle homicide in Scotts Bluff County District Court. Authorities have said Clay was drunk when he drove his vehicle into an irrigation canal northwest of Scottsbluff, killing 18-year-old passenger Johanna Teahon of Gering. Clay's bench trial began Wednesday morning. © Copyright by Double Q Country Radio |
