High school graduation season picks up speed this weekend with 4 ceremonies in the northern Panhandle alone....two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The Saturday commencement ceremonies both begin at 2:00...one in Crawford and the other in Hay Springs. Sunday...Mother's Day...has Gordon-Rushville's graduation ceremony at 1:30 p.m and Hemingford High at 2:00.

The northern Panhandle's two largest high schools...Alliance and Chadron...both hold graduation a week later, but Chadron High has its student-organized Baccalaureate Service Sunday night at 7:00 in the High School auditorium.

Head basketball coach Craig Nobiling will be the featured speaker for the program, which is open to the public at no charge. There will also be music and refreshments.
