What organizers describe as a "frank and friendly" community discussion about water in northwest Nebraska comes up tomorrow (Saturday) in Chadron. Our Water Our Future n A Hard Look at the Dry Facts runs from 2-5 p-m in the Chadron State College Student Center Ballroom.

The three basic topics for the discussion are whether the area is running out of ground water, does or can the government have the situation under control, and what can the public do to affect the outcome.

There will be short presentations by scientists and officials from Chadron State College, University of Nebraska, US Geological Survey, Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, and the Upper Niobrara White River Natural Resources District as well as a panel discussion and audience participation.

The meeting is sponsored by the High Plains Center for Sustainability, the Chadron State College Geosciences Department, and the CSC Geology Club/Sigma Gamma Epsilon.
