Sharon Peters, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 3 in Hyannis after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 8 at 1 p.m. (MDT) at the Whitman Community Church in Whitman. Burial in the Whitman Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday at the church in Whitman from 9 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given to the Whitman Cemetery Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Sharon was born December 30, 1934 in Hyannis to Floyd and Rosellia (Grouns) Henderson. She grew up on the family ranch north of Whitman.

Sharon graduated from the Alliance St. Agnes Academy in 1952 and attended Chadron State College and Wayne State College.

Survivors include here husband of 33 years, Dick Peters of Hyannis; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Carolyn Henderson of Whitman; as well as her children, Joyce Dohse of Scottsbluff, Jean Parker of rural Gordon, Joan and Dan Pruitt of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jana Benson of Alliance, Clark Jeary of rural Hyannis, Rick and Lisa Peters of North Platte, Rob and Melody Peters of Alliance, and Tammy Devoogd of Alliance, as well as several grandchildren.

Arnold and Mullen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
