Charges in a Dawes County arson case have been dismissed, but could be re-filed at a later date.

18-year-old Joshua Pedrick was arrested in connection with an arson and burglary in Crawford, along with a 17-year-old male who still has charges against him

Dawes County Attorney Vance Haug requested the dismissal during a June 3rd appearance, and Judge Russ Harford dismissed the charges without prejudice, meaning charges could be filed at a later date.

Haug says the investigation is continuing.

The April 21 fire damaged a home's furniture and carpeting, and gasoline had allegedly been used to start the fire.

The 17-year-old is scheduled to appear in Dawes County District Court on June 14. He waived his preliminary hearing in Dawes County Court.

Anyone with information related to the arson is asked to contact the Crawford Police Department at 665-1430.
