FAKE $100 BILLS FOUND IN CHADRON

CHADRON, Neb. (AP) - There's funny money going around in western Nebraska.

Chadron Police say they are investigating the passing of several fake $100 bills at area businesses.

Police said the counterfeit bills are very high in quality. The
bills initially feel smoother than a regular bill but pass the ink pen test commonly used to detect fake bills.

Police have alerted other law enforcement agencies in the area.

People who suspect they have been given a counterfeit bill
should contact their local police department.
