Witnesses told officers on scene that the third vehicle involved had left the area northbound on Morehead Street and drove into a garage near 2nd and Morehead Street.

Officers had contact with Sheldon W. McCance, 44, near the intersection of 2nd and Morehead Street. Officers continued with their accident investigation and found McCance's vehicle parked inside a closed garage near 2nd and Morehead Street, which had sustained about $2000 in damage to the front passenger area.

The officers investigation led to McCance's arrest for Fourth Offense Driving Under the Influence of alcohol, which is a class III Felony, and leaving the scene of an accident.
