An Autopsy conducted in Scottsbluff yesterday on a four month old infant male who died early Saturday morning in Chadron found no evidence of trauma.

Chadron Police Chief Tim Lordino says further testing, to include toxicology, will be conducted in the coming weeks on Dontae J. Broken Rope of Pine Ridge South Dakota.

The child was being cared for by a family relative living in Chadron on the evening of Friday, August 26, when a rescue unit was summoned by a 911 call in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 27. The infant male was transported by rescue unit to Chadron Community Hospital and was pronounced dead at 5 a.m.

The child's parents were in South Dakota at the time of this incident.

The Dawes County Attorney's Office will release more information when it becomes available.
