 CSC FOOTBALL Two junior college transfers and two high school seniors have committed to the Chadron State College football team. The transfers – Emmanuel Sellu and Donald Oliver - are both running backs from California, and the two entering freshmen – John Toston and Maurice Threatts - are from Clearwater, Fla. Sellu, a native of San Jose, Calif., who played at West Valley College, had two successful seasons for the Vikings. Last year, the 6-foot, 185-pound running back rushed for 1,023 yards on 203 carries and scored eight touchdowns. He was named All-Golden Gate Conference as well as the team’s most outstanding offensive back. In 2006, Sellu ran for 513 yards on 103 carries and scored four TDs. Oliver, a 5-11, 220-pound prospect, played football at Glendale Community College. As a sophomore the Pasadena, Calif., native carried the ball 73 times for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Threatts, a 5-10, 175-pound running back, was a three-year starter at Countryside High School. During his senior season he had 113 carries for 976 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also played wide receiver and was a mainstay in the defensive backfield. He earned honorable mention all-conference and he played in the Pinella’s County All-Star Game where he rushed for over 60 yards and scored a touchdown. Toston, a 5-11, 190-pound wide receiver, was a three-year starter at Dunedin High School. He scored three touchdowns on just nine receptions and added a rushing score. Toston also made his presence known on defense by recording 76 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. Toston also played in the Pinella’s County All-Star Game.
