Spring football is just about over at Chadron State. The Eagles have a scrimmage this afternoon (Wednesday) at 3:30 at Elliot Field, practices tomorrow and Friday, and the Spring Game Saturday morning at 11:00.

Head coach Bill O'Boyle thinks it's been a solid spring, even though the weather didn't go as smoothly as he'd hoped.

Saturday's Spring Game will pit the Red Team against the White Team. O'Boyle says the assistant coaches will pick the teams through a draft Thursday morning.

A highlight of the game for many fans will be the chance to call a play by making a $10 donation to the CSC athletic program.

After the game, the Eagles will host a picnic open to the public for a small charge. It's the third year for the picnic, which has been so popular extra food had to be brought in during the first two.
