PITTSBURG, Kan. – The postseason accolades keep adding up for Travis Atter.

Atter, a senior placekicker from Buffalo, Wyo., and a 2008 American Football Coaches Association All-American, was named to the 2009 Don Hansen’s Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-America Team on Monday.

Earlier this year, Atter had been named a Daktronics All-American, AP Little All-American and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Year.

Atter had a record-setting season in 2009. He made 18 of 24 field goals to break his record of 17 set in 2008. He also connected on all 38 of his PAT kicks, and became CSC’s all-time leader in kick scoring points (371) and career field goals (57).

In addition to Atter, punter Kevin Berg, offensive tackle Ben Puffer and inside receiver Isaac Stockton earned Football Gazette honorable mention.

The University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Jack Hiett was the only other RMAC player to be selected to the first team. Hiett, a senior, also earned the Rimington Award as the nation’s top offensive center.
