Former Box Butte County Fair Manager Jane Schledewitz was released on parole Wednesday. Schledewitz was sentenced in April of last year to three to five years in prison for stealing over $73,000 from the Box Butte County Ag Society over a three-year period.
She was sentenced after turning herself into the Box Butte County Sheriff's office. She returned from Florida, where she was employed as a housekeeper while local authorities were trying to determine her whereabouts.
She also made full restitution.
Schledewitz could be released from parole in late October of next year.
