In response to recent questions and concerns raised to KCOW radio associated with the proposed adoption of the Cell Phone Occupation Tax, (City Ordinance 2590) the City of Alliance is providing an FAQ sheet and copy of the ordnance to KCOW and other media outlets. It is our hope that this information will help to answer the questions being posed by community members and better facilitate the dissemination of information throughout. Additional questions beyond those covered in the FAQ Press Release may be addressed to City Hall at 762-5400. The third and final reading of the ordinance is scheduled for the council's next meeting, scheduled for Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the School Board Meeting Room at 1604 Sweetwater Avenue. The meeting is open to the public.
