By KCOW RADIO
Oct 23, 2003 - 12:53:00 PM
Another sure sign that winter is on its way.
Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend.
When you go to bed Saturday night, turn your clocks BACK one hour.
For example, if you go to bed at 11 o'clock, turn your clock back to 10 o'clock.
Happy snoozing!!!
Local fire departments are reminding people that with the end of daylight savings time, remember to change the batteries in your smoke detector.
Fire officials state that smoke detector batteries should be changed every six months, so an easy time to remember to do so is when you adjust your clocks each autumn and spring for daylight savings time.
The Alliance Fire Department has free smoke detectors and batteries available for person who cannot afford them.
