FOUR CHADRON FUGATIVES TO RETURN TO MONTANA

Four of the five armed robbery suspects arrested in Chadron earlier this month after a 14-hour manhunt and lockdown have waived extradition back to Montana.

Dawes County Attorney Vance Haug says the extraditions of 20-year old Jacob Krauss and the three Adams brothers, 18-year old Jeremy, 19-year old Jordan, and 21-year old CJ, are for probation violation and escape charges.

The juvenile, 16-year old Sean Jones, still faces Nebraska felony charges of theft and fleeing to avoid arrest.
Krauss and the Adams brothers will likely NOT be coming back to Nebraska. Haug says he's reached an agreement with Montana authorities to drop his charges and let Montana take over.

All five men are suspects in a series of armed robberies in Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota, but Haug says authorities there still haven't filed charges in those incidents.

Although Haug has agreed to drop the Nebraska charges against Krauss and the Adams brothers, he will be able to re-file them if he believes it's necessary.

All five men are back in the Scotts Bluff County Jail, where the four adults will remain until arrangements are made to take them back to Montana.

Bail remains at $750,000 each.
