The five Montana men arrested last Thursday after a 14-hour manhunt and lockdown in Chadron were arraigned this morning in Dawes County Court on two felonies each.

16 year old Sean Jones, 20 year old Jacob Edward Krauss, 18 year old Jeremy Adams, 19 year old Jordan Adams, and 21 year old C.J.Adams, are charged with Conspiracy to Operate a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, and Conspiracy to Receive, Retain, or Dispose of Stolen Property.

Dawes County Attorney Vance Haug says all five are scheduled for preliminary hearings next Wednesday with the possibility still remaining for additional charges.
One of the five, 18-year old Jordan Adams, said in court that they stole the pickup abandoned in Chadron at the start of Thursday's manhunt.

The possibility of federal charges being filed was brought up in the courtroom by another defendant, C-J Adams, who said he couldn't wait to be taken into federal custody. Haug says he's heard nothing firm on charges from any other jurisdictions.

The Adams brothers, Krauss, and Jones were all complaining before the judge came in the courtroom about alleged mistreatment from corrections officers. They also demanded a Bible and showers, but raised no complaints to the judge.

All five are being held in the Scotts Bluff County Jail, but one of the Adams brothers said he loved the Dawes County Jail and wished they were staying there.
