The Chadron City Council was in a proclaiming mood Monday night, issuing and signing proclamations on four different subjects.
The most heart-felt, drawing additional comments from all the council members, recognized and thanked all the law enforcement agencies and others who helped with last week's Chadron manhunt and lockdown.
Chadron State running back Danny Woodhead was officially recognized and congratulated by the city of Chadron for his outstanding accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Last year's Harlon Hill Trophy winner as the best player in NCAA Division-2 broke the all-time all-level college career rushing record two weeks, and is a semifinalist for the Draddy Award, considered the academic version of the Heisman Trophy.
The other two proclamations recognized this week as National Business and Professional Women's Week, and the week of October 23rd-30th as Red Ribbon Week.
