AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The Number One college volleyball team in the country is no longer undefeated.
Nebraska fell to Number 5 Texas last night in Austin 30-22, 30-25, 30-20. The sweep snapped the Huskers' 29-match winning streak.
The sweep came despite Husker Sarah Pavan's team-high 17 kills.
Destinee Hooker and Juliann Faucette combined for 30 kills for Texas. With the win, the Longhorns became the first Big 12 team to sweep the Huskers since they accomplished the same feat in 1997.
Texas is now 15-and-3 on the season and 11-and-1 in the conference. Nebraska falls to 19-and-1 overall and 11-and 1 in the Big 12.
