  The Box Butte Development Corporation’s Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Alliance Country Club.

The cash bar will open at 6:00 p.m., followed by a two meat buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the Annual Membership Meeting at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited. Reservations can be made at BBDC at 762-1800 by Friday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m.

Guest speaker for the evening will be former Nebraska Governor and U.S. Ag Secretary Mike Johanns.

The Economic Development Achievement Award, titled “Business of the Year” will be presented to the business or organization that best fits that title. This title is given to a business, franchise, corporation, or organization that has invested a tremendous amount of time and money into the economic development efforts of Box Butte County. Box Butte Development Corporation will also be honoring the “Entrepreneur of the Year.” The entrepreneur of the year will be given to an owner/operator who has invested their time and money into the economic development efforts of Box Butte County. Box Butte Development Corporation commends these efforts.

Retiring board members Ryan Gasseling of Bank of the West, Mike Wirtz of BNSF, Dan Koch of Perrin Manufacturing, Dan Contonis of Gregory’s Insurance, and Casper Ningen of Hemingford Public Schools, will be recognized. Their presences on the BBDC Board of Directors and their economic development efforts have been greatly appreciated.
