Alliance High School head wrestling coach, Dale hall, will be inducted into the Adams State College Athletic Hall of fame this weekend in Alamosa, Colorado.
A native of Wisconsin, Hall was a four-time state medalist at Hartford High school. He wrestled for one season at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside before transferring to Adams State where he was a two-time All-American wrestler at 126 lbs. He placed 5th in the National tournament in 1990 and was a National Champion in 1991. He was also named the Adams State most valuable and most inspirational wrestler that year and finished his wrestling career with 82 wins.
After graduating in 1992, Dale and his wife Cheryl moved to Alliance, where he has taught at Alliance Middle School for the past 16 years. He is also the head wrestling coach at Alliance High School and has guided the Bulldogs to several district and conference championships and has coached 6 state champions and over 50 state medalists. Hall was named Nebraska Class A wrestling coach of the year in 2000.
Induction ceremonies will take place Friday night at the ASC Student Union building on the Adams State campus.
Hall will be joined in the Hall of Fame by 3 former distance runners, another national champion wrestler and a long time ASU booster.
