  Peter L. Gerdau, 56, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at his home in Alliance.

He was born September 25, 1950 in Bad Segeberg, Germany to Ernest and Edith (Kutschke) Gerdau. He came to Alliance the following year in 1951.

He owned and operated Home TV in Alliance with his brother Rolf from 1984 to 1996. He has been working at Parker Hannifan Corporation since that time.

His survivors are his mother Edith Weed of Alliance, his father Ernest Gerdau of Buxtehude, Germany, brother Rolf Gerdau of Alliance, aunt Donna Kutschke and cousins Dave Kutschke and Karla Kutschke of Alliance and Donna Kutschke, Mary Kutschke, Bruce Kutschke and Laura Kutschke all of Canada.

Memorial services will be Friday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father James Heithoff officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.

Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
